Job summary

Alfasigma is seeking a Senior Accountant to support our Nutrition & Rare Disease businesses. This hybrid role is based in Morristown, NJ and reports to the Controller, ensuring accurate ledger accounting and timely reconciliations.

The candidate will own monthly close activities, manage payroll-related entries, and assist in financial reporting and special projects. A BS in Accounting and 5-7 years of experience are required; CPA is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting or related discipline.
• CPA is a strong plus.
• 5-7 years of combined experience in public accounting and industry.
• Pharmaceutical industry experience is a strong plus but not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work across a matrix organization; independent and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly financial closing activities, journal entries, and reconciliations for Intercept and Alfasigma USA.
• Manage payroll and compensation related journal entries and accruals.
• Oversee Fixed Asset process including additions and depreciation.
• Assist in financial reporting detail and in special projects as needed.
