Job summary

Tellus Products, LLC is seeking a Senior Accountant to support general accounting, including inventory and manufacturing subledgers, while delivering financial analysis to leadership. You will record transactions in the general and subsidiary ledgers in line with GAAP and partner with the Controller in a fast-paced, growing environment.

The role involves month-end close, cost analysis, inventory valuation, and process improvements to strengthen internal controls and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cost or managerial accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar ERP system preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and advanced data handling.

Responsibilities

• Support the Plant Controller during the month-end close process, including preparation of annual financial statements and cost analysis.
• Review and validate cost of goods sold, variable manufacturing costs and other production-related costs.
• Update and maintain standard costs within bills of materials (BOMs).
• Investigate variances and purchase price variances, identifying drivers and corrective actions.
• Validate stock counts and analyze inventory movements of raw materials, WIP and finished goods.
