Job summary

WM in Pasadena is seeking a Senior Accountant or Junior Controller to own full cycle accounting within a complex corporate environment. The role requires strong GL ownership, journal entries, accruals, and month-end close expertise.

You will prepare financial statements, perform variance analysis, and ensure US GAAP compliance while maintaining robust internal controls in a fast-paced setting. The position is hybrid, with in-office and remote work options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Accounting.
• 5 years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement).
• Experience in a mid-to-large company.
• Direct ownership of full cycle accounting and corporate financial reporting.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Own full cycle accounting including GL, journal entries, accruals, and month-end close.
• Prepare financial statements and perform variance analysis on complex data.
• Ensure US GAAP compliance and maintain internal controls.
• Collaborate with finance and business stakeholders while working independently in a fast-paced environment.
