Job summary

WM is seeking a Senior Accountant or Junior Controller to own full cycle accounting, including general ledger, journal entries, accruals, and month-end close, within a complex corporate structure.

You will prepare financial statements, perform variance analysis, and ensure internal controls align with US GAAP while working with finance and business partners in a fast-paced hybrid setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
• 5 years of accounting experience, including 3 years in a mid to senior level role.
• Experience in a mid-to-large company.
• Direct ownership of full cycle accounting and corporate financial reporting.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Own full cycle accounting activities including general ledger, journal entries, accruals, and month end close.
• Prepare financial statements, perform variance analysis, and analyze complex financial data.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and maintain effective internal controls.
• Partner with finance and business stakeholders while operating independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist with year-end closings, budgets, and strategic plans as needed.
