Job summary

Currency Exchange International (CXI) is seeking a skilled Security Engineer to own and execute key security controls and hygiene initiatives. The role focuses on implementing preventative controls, improving posture, and delivering auditable evidence while partnering with IT operations and engineering teams.

The position is hybrid in Orlando, FL, with openness to candidates outside Central FL. Strong communication and project management are essential as you help reduce risk and strengthen

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Security certifications (or progress toward certifications) preferred.
• 5+ years in information security or security engineering roles.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute preventative security controls and hygiene initiatives to improve security posture.
• Maintain configuration-level understanding of core security controls (identity access, endpoints, data protection, email, vulnerability management).
• Drive security hygiene work with disciplined task management, prioritization, and follow-through; track and communicate status.
