Job summary

Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania in Lancaster invites applications for a Security Analyst 1 in a hybrid role. You will join a growing security operations group focused on protecting client networks and data, with hands-on responsibilities across firewall configuration, incident response, and log analysis.

The role offers up to $85K base plus bonus, and includes health, dental, and vision insurance, plus PTO and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant hands-on IT help desk or network/security experience.
• Strong understanding of network security, email and web traffic flow, and security controls.
• Knowledge of security fundamentals, firewalls, log collection, and incident investigation.
• Ability to interpret security alerts and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Monitor alerts generated by security systems and determine their validity
• Conduct investigations into security incidents, leveraging operational knowledge
• Assist in onboarding new clients by configuring firewalls and collecting logs
• Communicate technical findings to internal teams and possibly clients
• Support daily security operations within a 24/7 environment
• Collaborate with the security team to uphold standard procedures and incident management
• Engage in cross-training opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
