Job summary

WoodmenLife in Omaha is seeking a Scrum Master Intern for Summer 2027 to support Agile ceremonies, backlog management, and cross-team collaboration. You will gain hands-on experience within a not-for-profit life insurance environment and contribute to project delivery.

This 10-week internship offers mentorship, real-world exposure to Lean-Agile techniques, and the chance to work with Azure DevOps and Microsoft 365.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in college with rising junior/senior status and 3.5+ GPA.
Ability to work 38.75 hours per week during the summer internship.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and strong computer skills.
Familiar with Agile ceremonies and metrics to support team performance.

Responsibilities

Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Reviews and Retrospectives.
Support PI Planning and cross-team coordination during scaled Agile activities.
Help manage dependencies and maintain a prioritized backlog with Product Owners.
Coach team members on Agile principles and promote continuous improvement.
Assist with user story estimation and forecasting to aid planning.
Communicate progress, risks and blockers to leadership and stakeholders.
