General Motors in Warren, MI seeks a Global Vehicle Hardware Engineering Scrum Manager to lead a hardware optimization scrum team. You will be the servant leader and technical product owner, ensuring high-value co-optimization work and agile delivery aligned to ART objectives.

You will connect end users, hardware/controls teams, validation partners, suppliers, and ART leadership to deliver prioritized, testable work with clear requirements and measurable outcomes.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years in engineering, technical product ownership, Agile delivery, systems engineering, controls, simulation, or program execution.
• Demonstrated experience owning and prioritizing a technical backlog across multiple sprints/releases.
• Demonstrated ability to write or guide the creation of clear, testable Stories, acceptance criteria, and Definition-of-Done expectations.
• Working knowledge of Scrum and/or SAFe practices, backlog refinement, iteration planning, PI Planning, retrospectives, System Demos, and risk/dependency management.
• Experience using Jira or a comparable work-management tool to maintain backlog, status, dependencies, and delivery visibility.

Responsabilidades

• Own the Scrum Team backlog aligned with strategy and vision.
• Serve as technical subject matter expert for the Scrum Team.
• Establish and maintain a backlog for hardware optimization across the domain.
• Define problems, outcomes, value hypotheses, and measurable acceptance criteria with end users.
• Decompose ART features into Stories that are clear, testable, estimable, and traceable.
• Coordinate capacity, sequencing, and commitments across multiple sprints and milestones.
• Collaborate with Hardware/System Architects, Dev Leads, modelers, validation engineers, and suppliers to ensure feasibility.
• Drive visibility of cross-team dependencies involving models, interfaces, data, or baselines.
• Represent the team in ART-level coordination forums and escalate cross-team topics where needed.
• Ensure Jira is the system of record for backlog status, ownership, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and delivery progress.
• Support System Demos and Inspect/Adapt events with evidence, outcomes, gaps, and actions.
• Foster healthy team culture, inclusive decision-making, and continuous learning.
