Job summary

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts seeks a Deputy Director of Housing Development to lead housing finance, program oversight, and project evaluation across LIHTC, HOME, and related programs. The role manages staff and oversees critical closing processes and MassDocs workflows.

A strong background in rental and homeownership financing is essential. Responsibilities include directing pre-applications, full applications, and subsidy closings while coordinating with multiple teams and partners.

Qualifications

• Six years of professional or managerial experience in public or private housing administration.
• Experience with rental and homeownership funding programs a plus.
• Ability to lead in a large organization and manage complex programs.

Responsibilities

• Leadership in absence of the Undersecretary; assume duties as needed.
• Develop and maintain OneStop+ application system and workflow platform.
• Oversee pre-applications and full applications for rental/homeownership funding.
• Coordinate 80–100 subsidy loan closings annually and monitor expenditures.
• Supervise staff and oversee MassDocs closing system.
