Job summary

RTX, in partnership with Collins Aerospace, seeks an experienced SAP BW/4HANA Engineer for a hybrid role based in Puerto Rico. You will design data models, migrate legacy BW, and deliver high-performance analytics using SAP Datasphere and HANA.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in SAP BW/4HANA or BW on HANA, ABAP experience, and a strong focus on data modeling, optimization, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• 2+ years of experience in SAP BW/4HANA or SAP BW on HANA
• HANA modeling and SQLScript expertise
• Experience designing complex BW objects (ADSOs, CompositeProviders, ODS Views)
• Hands‑on ABAP knowledge for transformations, user exits, and routines
• Strong understanding of data modeling best practices and performance optimization

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex data models in SAP BW/4HANA and SAP Datasphere.
• Assist with modernization efforts, including migration from legacy BW systems and integration with cloud data platforms .
• Build and optimize HANA native models, SQLScript logic, and calculation views
• Develop high-performance ETL pipelines using SDI, SLT, or BODS.
• Partner with analytics teams to deliver semantic models for SAC,or other BI tools.
• Assist with incident resolution, performance tuning, and root cause analysis for SAP data systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
• Support DevOps processes including gCTS/CTS+, Git-based workflows, CI/CD automation.
• Contribute to architecture roadmaps, technology evaluations, and long-term strategic planning.
