Job summary

CapMetro is seeking a Specialist, Safety – Compliance to support the Safety Management System (SMS) and Occupational Health & Safety programs and ensure regulatory compliance across agency operations. The role focuses on risk management, audits, data collection, reporting, and implementing corrective actions with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, PM, or related field.
• Five years’ safety, PM or transportation admin experience.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Support Safety Plan with risk management and safety assurance.
• Audit compliance with internal controls and state/federal regs.
• Analyze legislation, advise on actions, and participate in cross-functional teams.
• Perform safety audits and develop new policies.
• Collect data, generate metrics and reports.
• Support hazard management, CAPs, and safety reporting.
• Assist SMS processes and safety concerns.
