Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5 years of recent acute care nursing experience or 2 years CCU experience.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and DRG assignment in the acute care setting.

Aufgaben

• Conduct daily reviews of inpatient records to identify missing or unclear diagnoses and procedures.
• Perform timely follow-up reviews to ensure physician queries are answered.
• Use coding and clinical expertise to ensure complete documentation for outcomes measurement.
• Query physicians on specificity of procedures and diagnoses based on coding guidelines.
• Collaborate with care teams to drive CDI process improvement using metrics.
