Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Clinical Documentation Specialist RN to enhance inpatient documentation quality through collaboration with physicians and care teams. The role supports accurate ICD-10 coding and DRG assignment in a hybrid, partly remote schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of recent acute care nursing experience or 2 years CCU experience.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and DRG assignment in the acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate improvement in clinical documentation accuracy.
• Interact with physicians, case managers, coders and other health care team members to ensure documentation reflects clinical treatment, decisions and diagnosis for inpatients.
• Provide guidance and education on documentation guidelines and CDI processes to the health care team.
