Job summary

The Freeman Company is seeking a Project Manager – Rigging Planning to coordinate overhead rigging, sign hanging, and electrical requirements for produced events. This in-house role partners with Project Design and Rigging, supporting estimating and engineering drawings and occasionally visiting show sites.

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years in overhead rigging, strong MS Office and Google Sheets skills, and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 4 years experience in Overhead Rigging is preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office suite.
• Proficient with Google Sheets & Google Docs.
• Familiarity with exposition work tickets preferred.
• Familiarity with local union jurisdictions and rules preferred.
• Technical overhead rigging training required.

Responsibilities

• Creates and maintains show files/show kits to ensure completion of required documentation.
• Engineers rigging and fulfills orders for overhead work enterprise wide in appropriate systems.
• Works with the clients to gather specifications and enter into the appropriate systems.
• Creates completely engineered rigging drawings with point loads and associated paperwork.
• Assists with creating estimates for clients.
• Create training material and training of Project Manager – Rigging Logistics position.
• Creates packaged pre-work to hand off to show site personnel.
• Create and Test new processes and procedures.
• Assist with Scheduling of Project Manager – Rigging Logistics position.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
