Job summary

Global Tax Management in Wayne, PA is seeking a Supervisor to lead sales and use tax refund engagements for corporate clients nationwide. The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of sales/use tax experience, strong Excel skills, and experience communicating with state authorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of sales and use tax experience in a corporate or professional services environment.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience preparing sales and use tax refund or reverse audit claims.
• Experience communicating with state auditors and clients on refund claims.
• Impeccable organization skills and attention to detail.
• Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Lead sales and use tax refund engagements for multiple clients across states.
• Coordinate reverse audit support: invoice review, tax issue identification, exemption arguments, supporting documents.
• Draft taxability answers and refund claims using tax research tools.
• Oversee data extraction from client ERP systems to prepare refund claims.
• Maintain client relationships as primary contact with state auditors and vendors to move claims to closure.
• Track filing deadlines and assist with appeals when necessary.
• Develop knowledge of Alteryx to automate data processes for tax purposes.
