Job summary

The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX is seeking a Patient Account Specialist for a hybrid remote position. Qualifications

• Familiarity with CPT, ICD-9, HCPCS coding and POS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Billing payers and clients for hospital and/or Professional Patient Accounts.
• Resolves denials and underpayments for appeal.
• Performs follow-up activities on assigned accounts per procedures.
• Updates account information within Epic Resolute and processes adjustments.
• Responds to daily correspondence and maintains professional communication with customers.
