True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Restructuring & Special Situations Finance Practice Group in New York. This hybrid role offers exposure to complex domestic and cross-border restructuring matters and distressed financings.

The ideal candidate has a JD from a top-tier law school, active bar admission, 3–7 years of restructuring or related finance experience, and strong drafting and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction, in good standing.
• 3–7 years of substantive experience in restructuring, bankruptcy, and/or special situations finance transactions.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in complex restructuring and insolvency matters, both in-court and out-of-court.
• Advise creditors, debtors, and investors in distressed and special situations financings.
• Draft and negotiate credit agreements, restructuring support agreements, and related transaction documents.
• Support liability management transactions, recapitalizations, and distressed M&A opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, corporate, and litigation attorneys.
