Job summary

The Cancer Institute at West Virginia University is seeking a Hybrid Research Operations Specialist to join our team in Morgantown, WV. This role will support operational and strategic efforts across WVU Cancer Institute leadership and researchers.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Administration, the position coordinates infrastructure projects, space management, policy implementation, and initiative execution to advance WVUCI’s mission while maintaining strong stakeholder engagement and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or related field is required.
• Minimum of two years of experience in research administration, healthcare operations, higher education administration, or facilities coordination.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor WVUCI funded infrastructure projects and renovations.
• Assist with space management and infrastructure planning initiatives.
• Serve as liaison with facilities, core facilities, vendors, and leadership.
• Track timelines, deliverables, and action items for initiatives.
• Support communication for outages, upgrades, and disruptions affecting research activities.
• Prepare operational reports, dashboards, and documentation for leadership.
