Job summary

ADL is seeking a Research Assistant for the Center on Extremism. You will assist the Associate Director with population, management, and auditing of key datasets, while researching extremist groups and related activity from public sources.

The role emphasizes data accuracy, attention to detail, and collaboration within a hybrid work environment, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to work in teams.

Qualifications

• Significant experience using data management software and technology.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Familiarity with extremist-related topics to enable proper taxonomy and categorization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter high volumes of data from multiple sources.
• Organize data repositories per COE guidelines for accessibility.
• Audit and deduplicate data for major reports and updates to public databases.
• Research and document analysis of extremist movements and related activity from primary and secondary sources.
• Respond to COE staff data requests and regional inquiries.
