Job summary

MaineHealth Institute for Research seeks a Research Coordinator I or II to support pediatric clinical trials, education, and quality improvement initiatives. You will collaborate with investigators, research navigators, and hospital staff to advance study aims and protect participant welfare.

The role may involve consent, interviews, focus groups, and data management across MHRI sites, with a hybrid schedule and travel to partner sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, organization, and coordination skills to manage multiple projects.
• Knowledge of the research process from study design to dissemination.
• High degree of computer literacy including MS Office, REDCap, IRB platforms, and EHR systems.
• Self-motivated with strong problem solving and independent work ability.
• Solid data management knowledge and attention to regulatory requirements.
• Understanding of Good Clinical Practice and Human Subjects protections.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet timelines.

Responsibilities

• Identify, screen and interview potential study subjects and obtain consent.
• Assist in protocol development, consent forms, CRFs, and study documents.
• Coordinate submissions to the IRB for new studies and amendments.
• Manage data entry, data management, regulatory oversight, and project tracking.
• Support grant writing and education activities for BBCH SA members and providers.
• Train investigators on using online platforms (EDC, IRB systems) and resources.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Trials team to ensure compliance and quality.
