The role involves regulatory submissions, data management, mentorship of other coordinators, and collaboration with clinical teams to uphold rigorous research standards in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a scientific or health field with 2 years research experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience as a research coordinator in clinical research, including obtaining informed consent.
• Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCPs) and federal regulations related to clinical research.
• Experience with computerized data management, preferably with electronic medical records.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with changing priorities.
• Strong ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple assignments.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient participation in clinical research, including screening and enrollment.
• Data collection and submission for multiple projects with proper source documentation.
• Specimen management and timely shipment of research specimens.
• Monitor and report adverse reactions and serious adverse events.
• Contribute to publications or presentations of research data.
• Assist with additional study-related activities as assigned.
