Job summary

Temple University’s Institutional Research & Assessment Department is seeking a Research Analyst II to support strategic planning through independent research and advanced data analysis.

The role develops quantitative and qualitative projects, forecasting and trend analyses related to student and institutional data, and communicates insights via data visualizations. Hybrid work arrangement with on-site and remoteDays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, statistics, educational research or related field is required.
• At least two (2) years of directly related experience in Institutional Research or educational research.
• Experience designing user-centered dashboards and reports for diverse audiences.
• Experience using reporting and data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
• Demonstrated experience with statistical software such as R, Python, SPSS, JMP, or SAS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent research and advanced data analysis to support strategic planning.
• Develop and execute quantitative and qualitative research projects including forecasting and trend analyses.
• Transform complex data into actionable insights through statistical modeling and data visualization.
• Collaborate with campus stakeholders to define analytical needs and ensure data governance.
• Monitor higher education trends to inform planning and decision-making.
