Job summary

SCC is seeking a Reporting & Analysis Accountant in Birmingham with a focus on timely financial reporting and governance. You will prepare statutory and management reports, analyse data, and work with internal teams to deliver clear insights for decision-making.

The role requires ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent, strong UK standards knowledge, and experience with ERP systems (D365 preferred). Hybrid working with competitive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Part Qualified / Qualified accountant status with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and statutory reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems and large dataset postings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with UK standards.
• Assist budgets, forecasts, profitability and variance analyses.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and complete reconciliations promptly.
• Support internal and external audits with required documentation.
• Collaborate with finance and business teams to streamline reporting processes.
• Ensure governance and regulatory compliance for financial reporting.
• Provide data-driven analyses to support decision making.
• Commit to personal development in accounting knowledge and systems.
