Job summary

EDF power solutions North America is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead and support equipment procurement for the EPC team's 5-150 MW solar and storage projects in the Columbia, MD area. You will coordinate with development, engineering, and project management to source long-lead items and manage supplier strategies.

The role requires 5–7 years of related experience, a four-year degree, and strong negotiation and contract administration skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5–7 years in procurement, supply chain, or project controls in solar, energy storage, or construction.
• Four-year technical or business degree preferred.
• Experience in contract administration or legal coordination on equipment supply agreements.
• Experience in distributed generation EPC.
• Direct experience procuring major equipment categories: PV modules, inverters, BESS, and transformers.
• Ability to manage competitive RFQ/RFP processes from solicitation through award.
• Familiarity with construction project delivery schedules.
• Proficiency with procurement and tracking in Procure preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead long-lead equipment procurement for PV modules, inverters, BESS, transformers, and switchgear.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Project Management, and SMEs to identify long-lead items and initiate procurement.
• Track open POs from issue to delivery; escalate risks to project management.
• Maintain portfolio-level PO records by project, vendor, delivery date and status.
• Collaborate with EDFps strategic procurement on platform-level vendor discussions or negotiations.
• Review nationwide trends on raw material pricing and advise on purchase strategy.
• Collaborate with project management on delays due to shortages.
• Manage approved vendor list; evaluate vendors on cost, quality, lead time.
• Run RFQ/RFP processes; negotiate pricing and terms; escalate to legal as needed.
• Prepare and execute POs and equipment supply agreements with contracts manager.
• Track equipment costs against budgets; flag scope changes or price escalation.
• Manage Procore for project equipment submittals, orders, logistics, and cost.
