Job summary

ePlus inc. in Chicago area is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to act as a trusted technical advisor for customers and sales teams, focusing on networking and security solutions.

You will specify, quote, and design solutions, develop BOMs, and lead technical scoping with customers. The role requires extensive presales experience, enterprise networking and security knowledge, and the ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Certifications in applicable technology preferred
• College technical or engineering degree or applicable work experience
• Ten or more years of experience in the Partner space
• Five or more years of experience in providing Presales Engineering support
• Enterprise and data center networking and security engineering expertise, preferably with Cisco, Meraki, HPE/Juniper/Aruba, Arista, and Palo Alto Networks
• Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
• Strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to sales teams and customers on networking and security solution focus areas
• Establish credibility with sales teams and customers
• Conduct customer facing presentations on core competencies and technical solution offerings
• Assist sales team with account planning related to technical aspects of opportunities
• Complete and author technical sections for RFP/RFI/RFQ responses
• Develop and finalize solution architecture/design and BOMs
• Lead technical scoping/reviews with sales team and customers
• Be SME for customer staff regarding proposed solution and its implementation
• Mentor associate account managers on opportunity management and technical solution set
• Conduct knowledge transfers with colleagues and service delivery teams
• Identify potential new solution areas for development
• Complete OEM certification training as requested
• Propose improvements to regional procedures and processes
• Ensure coverage for opportunities during training/absences
• Participate in presales conference calls
• Review pipeline and forecast revenue weekly
• Conduct ePlus branded knowledge-sharing sessions
