Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is recruiting a Road Designer for the Billings District. The role conducts in-depth engineering analysis, administers contracts, oversees projects and project design, and may lead a team.

It offers advancement within a career ladder and potential hybrid remote work. Qualifications include a mix of education and experience in civil engineering technology or design drafting with CAD familiarity.

Formación

• Combination of education and experience equivalent to four years in civil engineering technology or design drafting with demonstrated experience using CAD software.
• Minimum two years of design-related experience for Designer II; five years for Designer III with CAD experience.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct in-depth engineering analysis and design work.
• Administer contracts and oversee projects and project designs.
• May serve as lead worker and ensure compliance with guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
