Job summary

OxBlue is seeking a PHP Software Engineer to join our Development team. You will build server-side logic, manage the central database, and ensure high performance for the application while integrating front-end work from the Front-End team.

This is a full-time role with hybrid or remote options. The ideal candidate has a BS in a technical field and strong PHP expertise, plus experience with Laravel, MySQL/MariaDB, Linux, and Git.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field

Responsibilities

• Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules
• Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
• Work closely with your team in completing projects
• Troubleshoot and fix any issues relating to our PHP applications
• Develop and test software for enterprise and/or client applications
• Refactor, optimize, and improve existing codebases for maintenance and scale
• Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers
• Convey effectively the status of task progress, evaluations, suggestions, and schedules
• Provide insights and improvements related to technical and process issues
• Document developed features and architecture
