Job summary

Woolpert, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager for its Mission Critical Project Management team, aligned with our offices in Chicago, IL, New York, NY and/or Pittsburgh, PA, with in-person, hybrid, or remote work arrangements.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in architectural, engineering, or construction, with PMP certification preferred and experience in mission-critical environments (≈400,000 sq ft) or similar complexity. Travel to national clients may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years related Architectural, Engineering, or Construction industry experience.
• Active professional registration in architecture or engineering is desired.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Experience in mission-critical or data center environments (approx. 400,000 sq ft) preferred.
• Experience with multi-disciplinary projects including mission-critical (airports, healthcare facilities, large transportation terminals, semiconductor facilities) preferred.
• Strong understanding of project management fundamentals and ability to facilitate technical discussions.
• Demonstrated leadership, negotiation, and risk management.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to local, regional, and national clients.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the overall cross-functional project team.
• Assist with the quality of deliverables prepared by team members, including fee plans, work plans, risk mitigation plans, and contracts.
• Resolve issues impacting project objectives.
• Support team in scope and budget/pricing development for proposals and dynamic project planning.
• Manage client relationships and contribute to business development.
• Act as key internal contact for communication and monitor plan vs. actual performance.
• Promote Woolpert and its mission-critical services to clients.
• Collaborate with Market Leads to negotiate project schedule, fee, scope and contract terms.
• Identify and resolve project issues impacting client goals and satisfaction.
• Define and communicate client needs and expectations.
• Ensure ongoing stakeholder communications addressing issues.
