Job summary

Adams County seeks a Kinship and Foster Care Certification and Support Caseworker to provide intensive case management for certified kinship and foster care providers. You will conduct home safety assessments and support kinship/foster care orientation, recruitment, and training.

The role emphasizes strong communication and writing skills, monthly TRAILS documentation, and adherence to Volume 7 regulations. A hybrid-remote arrangement is offered with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in child welfare related field.
• Colorado Child Welfare Caseworker certification required within 3 months.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the assigned caseworker to identify and secure foster or kinship care homes for children in temporary care.
• Support kinship and foster care families regarding placement with the goal of reunification or finding a more stable home.
• Provide ongoing support, behavioral coaching, and training to Foster and Kinship providers.
• Embed at the CAFS offices of Adams County Human Services Department and work with the child(ren)’s caseworker to meet needs.
• Document contacts with providers in TRAILS monthly and communicate significant information to the treatment team.
