Qualifications

Job Details
We are looking for a Forensic Structural Engineer for our location in Tulsa, OK. We're looking for a dynamic, motivated, and highly skilled professional to join our team in a permanent, remote role. This position offers the opportunity to apply your knowledge and expertise in the engineering industry to challenging projects involving wood, steel, and masonry. You will be part of a team that values collaboration, innovation, and the ongoing pursuit of excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting forensic investigations of buildings and other structures to determine the causes of structural failures.
  • Preparing detailed reports on your findings, including the factors that led to the failure and recommendations for repair or replacement.
  • Designing and implementing repair solutions for damaged structures.
  • Providing expert witness testimony in legal proceedings, as necessary.
  • Collaborating with other engineers, architects, and construction professionals on project design and implementation.
  • Using your expertise in wood, steel, and masonry to develop innovative solutions to complex structural problems.
  • Ensuring all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Participating in professional development activities to stay current with industry trends and advancements.

Education/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Structural Engineering (there is Training for the Forensic part of the job).
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in OK.
  • Expertise in the use of wood, steel, and masonry in structural design and repair.
  • Proven ability to conduct forensic investigations and prepare detailed, accurate reports.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to develop innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Experience providing expert witness testimony is a plus.
  • A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.
