Job summary

Great American Insurance Group is seeking a Reinsurance Analyst in Los Angeles, CA. The role focuses on data organization for treaty and facultative reinsurance, collaboration with underwriting, claims, operations, and finance, and timely coordination of schedules and meetings.

You will work on-site four days a week with one day remote, contributing to compliant processes and strong internal controls while supporting senior staff and cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or 6+ years in relevant professional experience.
• Minimum 2+ years in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
• High attention to detail with sound decision making and problem resolution.
• Ability to build trusting working relationships while delivering high service standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in compiling and organizing data, reports, and documentation for treaty and facultative reinsurance.
• Research and resolve basic reinsurance inquiries by collaborating with team members.
• Escalate complex issues to senior reinsurance staff.
• Collaborate with underwriting, claims, operations and finance to align processes and objectives.
• Assist in communication and coordination of reinsurance schedules and meetings.
• Adhere to established reinsurance guidelines, procedures and internal controls.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
