Job summary

Southern California Edison (SCE) is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Advisor to coordinate corporate compliance programs and ensure adherence to State and Federal laws, rules, and standards, including NERC BES, FERC, Cal OSHA and CPUC security regulations.

The role supports the broader mission to power our planet, reduce carbon emissions, and promote cleaner air, with hybrid work and a California-based office presence in Rosemead.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of experience with regulatory compliance, guidelines, compliance standards, risk assessment of noncompliance issues or cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and executes district compliance audits or assessments.
• Participates in industry and trade groups to share information and benchmark compliance programs against best practices and differing interpretations.
• Develops communications and participates in meetings related to changes in standards.
• Provides guidance on projects and programs on activities relevant to regulatory compliance assessments. Maintains knowledge of developments or changes in regulatory agencies to be able to provide interpretations and guidance on how business could be affected.
• Ensures corporate regulatory manuals are current and reviewed periodically.
• Conducts proactive compliance and operational risk assessments to identify potential areas of non-compliance. Collaborates with various stakeholders to provide direction and implement sound business decisions.
