Job summary

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources seeks a Realty Specialist in Bemidji, MN. You will process and coordinate real estate transactions, leases, and easements, working with regional staff and the public to ensure accurate documentation and compliance.

Ideal candidates bring two years of real estate experience, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects. A related associate degree may substitute; a bachelor's is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of real estate experience (title research, acquiring/granting right of way, processing real estate contracts such as land leases, easements, licenses).
• Associate degree can substitute for one year of experience.
• Knowledge of legal descriptions to identify ownership and boundaries.
• Proven project management to handle multiple real estate projects.
• Strong communication with internal/external audiences.
• Experience with Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, process, research and analyze assigned real estate transactions in the Region.
• Process new and renewal applications, assignments, amendments, maintenance notifications and preparation of documents.
• Coordinate processing and completion of assigned leases and easements in the Region.
• Coordinate the review, processing and completion of assigned tax forfeited sales packets of the Region.
• Coordinate with regional resource staff to gather comments on land sales and related issues.
• Participate in and support the Regional Lands and Miners Team, the Region and the Division of Lands and Minerals.
