Job summary

Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP seeks a Real Estate Paralegal to support sophisticated commercial transactions through due diligence, title review, and coordination with attorneys and title companies. This hands-on role demands accuracy, speed, and the ability to manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree with five+ years in real estate transactional work, plus familiarity with UCC filings, leases, and zoning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and five or more years progressive work experience in the real estate transactional area, preferably in a law firm environment; legal research knowledge and ability to use law library are required.
• Paralegal certificate from an ABA accredited program is a plus; knowledge of title, survey, zoning review and analysis, UCC searches and preparation, and lease abstracting.
• Proficiency with real estate databases, internet research, due diligence, Excel, Outlook, and Word; excellent organizational skills and report writing.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze title commitments, policies, and underlying title documents.
• Interpret and analyze ALTA surveys and zoning reports for transactional impact.
• Review and summarize declarations, REAs, and CCRs for material restrictions or risks.
• Coordinate with title companies and third-party consultants to finalize diligence matters.
