Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is hiring a Software UI Engineer II to design, build, and maintain enterprise web applications using React.js and TypeScript. The role is hybrid, requiring about two days per week in an HPE office in Puerto Rico, with collaboration across design, backend, QA, and DevOps teams.

You will develop reusable UI components, implement responsive interfaces, and work with REST APIs, tests, and tooling to ensure quality and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Typically 2-4 years experience.
• Strong frontend fundamentals and English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop responsive, accessible UI components with React.js, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Chakra UI under senior guidance.
• Translate designs into maintainable interfaces; test across browsers and screen sizes; fix defects.
• Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, QA, and DevOps to integrate REST APIs and continuously improve frontend skills.
