Job summary

Labcorp is seeking an RCM Accounts Receivable Intern to join our Finance Team located in Burlington, NC with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule. The internship runs for 11 weeks (June 1, 2027 – August 13, 2027) and is paid, with relocation assistance available for qualified candidates.

The intern will support revenue cycle improvements, analyze data, and collaborate with AR Support, Sales, and operations to drive project initiatives and gain real-world experience in healthcare finance.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program.
• Working toward a degree in Business, Healthcare, IT, or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analytics.
• Knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential business applications.
• Strong project organization, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support accounts receivable, billing processes, and revenue cycle improvement efforts.
• Analyze data and customer feedback to identify trends and process improvements.
• Support an RCM margin initiative focused on eClaims Assist in physician office billing.
• Partner with Sales to gather feedback and evaluate interest in eClaims Assist.
• Assist with Sales engagement and analysis to support project recommendations and next steps.
• Collaborate with AR Support leadership, Sales, and operations on project activities.
• Organize and analyze project data to support informed business decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve revenue cycle processes, efficiency, and customer experience.
