Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering in the United States.
• Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
• Proficient in critical thinking to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Capable of managing several tasks while maintaining quality.
• Collaborate with team members to convey ideas and provide updates on progress.

Responsibilities

• Get exposure to design, develop, analyze, and document product designs meeting functional, cost, reliability, manufacturability, and safety requirements.
• Learn to work in Agile environment and pull backlog items to acceptance criteria.
• Conform to Product Technical Specifications using Design for Six Sigma and Design for Reliability; document technical data.
• Create and maintain User stories in Azure DevOps with supporting technical documentation for design work and reviews.
• Use Creo/Windchill to create models, drawings, and BOMs for mechanical and electrical designs.
• Prepare and maintain product documentation, manuals, and design/test documentation; ensure regulatory standards UL, CSA and NEC are met.
• Participate in design reviews and cost-effectiveness assessments for mechanical/electrical designs.
• Support cross-functional team collaboration with purchasing and manufacturing; assist in supplier selection.
