Job summary

HarbourVest Partners is hiring an Associate, Quantitative Developer in Boston. You will design and build cloud-based analytics, APIs, and data pipelines for an enterprise platform, collaborating with product and design to transform requirements into durable systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience building data-rich platforms or products.
• 3+ years of SQL using complex queries against large datasets.
• 3+ years of Python and/or TypeScript experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain user-facing applications and the backend services and APIs that support them.
• Develop reusable UI components and shared platform capabilities used across applications.
• Support gradual rollouts and feature flags to ship changes safely as the platform evolves.
• Build and improve data pipelines and integrations across the platform, and contribute to logical and physical data models.
• Work directly with product and design to understand problems, shape requirements, and turn them into clear technical designs.
• Partner with product to review, triage, and resolve issues and defects.
