Job summary

PG&E in Oakland, CA is seeking a highly motivated Quantitative Analyst for the Portfolio Forecasting (PF) team within EPAD. The role focuses on electric portfolio forecasting analytics, generation portfolio simulation, scenario analysis, data visualization, data management, and business process improvement to support 100% GHG-free by 2045.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent field.
  • 2 years of job related experience OR Master's Degree and 1 year of job related experience.
  • Advanced degree in a relevant discipline is desirable.
  • Experience with energy-related quantitative analysis, probabilistic dispatch modeling, production simulation modeling, or related functions.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Forecast generation and compliance forecasts for PG&E's energy positions.
  • Develop and manage simulation models accounting for uncertainties.
  • Produce analytics to guide resource planning and policy positions.
  • Communicate results via data visualization and presentations.
  • Drive continuous improvement of forecasting processes and tools.
