Job summary

PG&E is seeking a quantitative analyst to develop, analyze, and improve forecasts of customer electric demand and emerging energy technologies. You will apply statistical and data-analytic methods to large datasets, evaluate market drivers, and build reproducible forecasting tools for stakeholders.

The role supports long-term planning and regulatory alignment as part of the System Planning team within the Energy Policy & Procurement organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science or related field required.
  • Experience with quantitative analysis in energy, climate, or public policy a plus.
  • Strong data-management and visualization skills.
  • Ability to communicate methods and findings to technical and nontechnical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Forecasting analysis: build and execute quantitative forecast workstreams for demand and technology adoption.
  • Data management and visualization: handle large energy datasets; create reproducible workflows and visuals.
  • Continuous improvement: document practices and improve forecast platforms and processes.
  • Project delivery: manage multiple analytical workstreams with clear priorities and risk management.
