Job summary

Fluence Energy, LLC seeks a Quality Engineer in Houston, TX, with a hybrid schedule (2–3 days in office). You will lead incoming and in-process quality, manage non-conformities, and drive data-driven improvements for energy storage products across global programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
• 1–3+ years of quality, engineering, or operations experience in manufacturing or energy sectors.
• Proven experience managing quality non-conformities and driving regional alignment.
• Deep understanding of two domains: Software & Controls, Batteries, Inverters, Transformers, Civil Structural, Electrical Systems.
• Strong background in proactive quality systems, risk management, and lifecycle improvement processes.
• Experience driving product readiness and launch scalability with engineering, supply chain and manufacturing teams.
• Strong data-driven decision making focused on cost and performance.
• Ability to lead through influence across functions and cultures.
• Experience with supplier quality management and change control processes.
• Familiarity with QA for design changes, including compliance, validation, and risk mitigation.
• 1–3+ years in large-scale renewable energy projects or related fields.
• Strong commercial knowledge to interpret agreements for regional needs.

Responsibilities

• Incoming and In-Process Support: develop programs and reporting systems for all product types globally.
• Issues Resolution Leadership: drive corrective and preventive actions across the organization.
• Documentation and Quality Record Maintenance: uphold inspection reports, test data, NCRs and related records.
• Testing and Validation Support: assist in quality testing for energy storage containers and system commissioning tests.
• Issues Triage: manage quality intake, backlog, and risk assessment.
• Product Readiness: support product development decisions with quality BI to ensure complete, high-quality products.
