Job summary

Avero is seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer for a hybrid role in the Upper Midwest. The position balances quality systems work, documentation, and plant-floor problem solving with occasional remote duties and cross-functional collaboration.

The successful candidate will apply IATF 16949 knowledge, drive root-cause analysis, and lead corrective actions in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive manufacturing quality systems (IATF 16949) preferred.
• Hands-on quality engineer on manufacturing floor and on documentation.
• Strong root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and structured problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain quality systems and documentation within an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Investigate product and process quality issues and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Work with manufacturing teams on the plant floor to identify quality concerns and implement sustainable solutions.
• Partner cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and other departments to improve product and process quality.
• Support customer quality requirements, documentation, audits, and corrective actions.
• Analyze quality data and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Assist with development and maintenance of quality standards and procedures.
• Ensure quality controls are established and followed throughout manufacturing processes.
• Help resolve internal and external quality concerns in a timely manner.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects.
