DMA - DuCharme, McMillen & Associates, Inc. in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Software QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of its software solutions through manual and automated testing.

This hybrid role requires in-office presence two days per week and supports agile delivery. The position emphasizes collaboration with developers and business analysts, defect tracking via Jira, and mentoring teammates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years of QA experience with web-based applications.
• Experience with Jira, Selenium, and Playwright with TypeScript.
• Familiarity with SDLC and automated testing tools.
• Experience with GitLab and Chrome.
• Basic understanding of relational databases and web technologies.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Good verbal and written communication; team player.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain test cases for manual and automated testing.
• Perform functional, non-functional, regression, and UAT testing.
• Participate in sprint planning and QA reviews.
• Document and report defects using Jira or similar tools.
• Collaborate with developers and analysts to craft test scenarios.
• Assist with risk analysis and quality assessments for releases.
• Mentor team members and share QA best practices.
• Diagnose and triage software issues and identify root causes.
• Contribute to QA documentation and process improvements.
• Support automation tool implementation (Selenium, Playwright).
• Ensure adherence to approved testing methodologies.
