Job summary

DuCharme, McMillen & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Software QA Engineer to ensure quality and reliability of our software solutions.

You will design, develop, and execute manual and automated tests, collaborating with development teams to validate functionality, performance, and compliance with business requirements. The role supports agile delivery practices, requires 2–5 years of QA experience, and involves in-office presence in Lisle, IL two days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years of QA/testing web-based applications or programming.
• Experience with Jira, Selenium, and Playwright with TypeScript preferred.
• Intermediate understanding of SDLC and Agile QA methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain test cases, data, and scripts for manual and automated testing.
• Perform functional, non-functional, regression, and UAT testing.
• Participate in sprint planning, QA reviews, and project meetings.
• Document and report defects using Jira or similar tools.
• Collaborate with developers and analysts to create targeted test scenarios.
• Assist with risk analysis and QA documentation.
