Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission in Austin, Texas seeks a Systems Analyst IV (QA Automation Engineer) to design and implement a scalable automation framework, develop Playwright/TypeScript scripts, and integrate tests into CI/CD.

Requires 10+ years in automation with mastery of modern QA tools and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams. Hybrid role in Austin, with some travel to different sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering or quality automation experience in large-scale, enterprise-grade systems.
• Experience with Playwright/TypeScript, JMeter, LoadRunner, GitHub, CI/CD, DevOps.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to coordinate testing activities across teams.

Responsibilities

• Define, build, and scale a robust Test Automation Framework from scratch for multiple platforms.
• Develop and maintain automated tests using Playwright/TypeScript; translate manual tests to automated suites.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure rapid feedback for deployments.
• Oversee testing activities including API, accessibility, performance testing and test reporting.
