Job summary

Private Identity is seeking a QA automation engineer to join a small, distributed team. You’ll be embedded three days a week with a large customer’s in-store platform team in Woonsocket, RI, and work from home the other two days.

Your focus is quality automation, leading Playwright-based tests and ensuring builds land cleanly with thorough verification. You’ll own the automation framework and CI/CD, write clear defect reports, and collaborate across two engineering groups.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in software QA/testing.
• 3+ years building and running automated tests.
• Hands-on Playwright skills and API testing.
• Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions) and Linux/Android.
• Excellent written communication and documentation habits.

Responsibilities

• Test every build via automated Playwright tests and manual passes.
• Write and run Playwright tests (TypeScript) for UI and API surfaces.
• Coordinate go/no-go decisions with engineering teams before releases.
• Triage and reproduce failures, generate actionable defect reports.
