Job summary

Axiom Path in Charlotte, North Carolina, is seeking a hands-on Python developer to build solutions for Fixed Income and OTC derivatives across the trading lifecycle. You will collaborate with traders, operations, risk, and technology teams to deliver backend services, APIs, and data-processing tools.

The role requires strong Python and SQL skills, a deep understanding of swaps and derivatives, and experience across front-, middle-, and back-office workflows.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of Python, backend, or application development experience.
• Strong Python coding skills and ability to complete a coding assessment.
• Strong understanding of capital markets and swaps.
• Experience with backend services, APIs, or data-driven financial applications.
• Familiarity with capital markets platforms (Murex, Sophis, Charles River, Summit, Aladdin, DTCC, Omgeo).

Responsibilities

• Develop Python solutions for Fixed Income and OTC derivatives applications.
• Support systems covering trade execution, capture, valuation, settlement, and regulatory reporting.
• Work with swaps lifecycle events from execution through maturity.
• Develop backend services, APIs, and data-processing solutions.
• Write complex SQL for transaction validation and data analysis.
