Toyota's Purchasing Supplier Development (PSD) Buying Department seeks a passionate Purchasing Analyst with a strong data analytics mindset to develop sourcing strategies and turn insights into sound business decisions.

The role focuses on cost modeling, scenario analysis, benchmarking, and negotiations to ensure fair supplier compensation while maintaining Toyota's competitive edge across the North American supply chain. Hybrid onsite Tue-Thu in Saline, MI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a direct buying role with analytics and $1M+ product costs ownership.
• Experience in purchasing/procurement with analytics, recommendations, and cost decisions.
• Experience with supply base strategy analysis including scenario modeling.
• Experience with data analysis and communicating decision-quality insights to management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).

Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategies using data-driven analysis to maximize supply base efficiency.
• Participate in early design work to optimize part design/manufacturing through VE analysis.
• Establish, analyze, and monitor cost metrics to drive pricing and timely payments.
• Negotiate with Supplier Partners for cost savings using fact-based analytics.
• Report to leadership with dashboards on target creation and negotiation.
• Lead Annual Price Review activities with Supplier Partners and align stakeholders.
• Analyze commodity market trends to inform sourcing decisions.
• Develop and manage Supplier Partner relationships and KPIs.
