Qualifications

• Requires Juris Doctor degree and bar admission in NY, DC, or GA.
• Experience in federal/state/local legislative or policy advocacy related to policing/public safety.
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and coalitions.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated strategies.
• Develop and implement legislative and policy reform strategies at multiple levels.
• Conduct legal and factual research on public safety priorities and policy reforms.
• Build coalitions and partnerships to advance racial justice.
• Draft and disseminate testimony, briefs, fact sheets, and reports.
• Be a public thought leader on policing and public safety issues.
• Represent LDF in media, conferences, and public venues.
• Perform other duties as assigned by project leadership.
