Job summary

Trellis Co. in Minneapolis seeks a Property Accountant to manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for a portfolio of properties. You will perform bank reconciliations, GL adjustments, accruals and respond to audit inquiries.

We offer flex scheduling (2 days from home, 3 days in office with parking), competitive pay and comprehensive benefits. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in accounting or property management accounting, strong GAAP knowledge, and proficiency in Excel and Yardi.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-year degree in accounting or minimum 3-year property management accounting experience with strong GAAP accounting knowledge.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to prioritize and organize to meet deadlines.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Enjoy co-worker interaction with a positive and light-spirited attitude.

Responsibilities

• Timely completion of monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting including audit completion for your portfolio.
• Preparation includes bank reconciliations, general ledger adjustments, accrual calculations, gross potential rent reconciliations, and inquiries from owner/lender/agency/audit.
